Hi I'm back again,
Now that my husband definitely move his job to Downtown Dallas in late August 2010, we need more help on finding apartment before we decide to buy the house. Eventually the whole family will move by summer 2011.
Pretty much we are leaning to live in Garland area since it has Magnet Schools for our kids (middle school and elementary school) plus too we still want to live in suburb area.
Anybody could suggest which part in Garland has decent apartments complex near DART? which its address should be included in GISD.

Thanks.

well, if you really want o be near DART, there are actually new apts in downtown Garland, which would put you pretty close to magnet schools in Garland. Most of other Decent apt are in the extreme northern and southern parts of the city.

I use to live in Broadway Apts. on Brodway and Tacoma. Right outside the apartment is the DART bus route, there is a Bus station within 5 minutes if you want to take a bus directly to Dallas. The train station is about 10-15 minute drive. I-30 is right down the road if you want to get to Dallas or Rockwall. Walmart is a 5 minute drive.

I don't know what size you are looking for but we had a 2 bedroom for $670/month, but it's probably around $700-$720 now. The only downside is that it's not gated. It does have 2 small but nice swimming pools. Anyway, we enjoyed living there for 3 years.

Anyway, you can PM me if you want to know more about that apartment. Most of the other apartments are in North Garland if you want to go that route. I looked at them when I first came to Garland, but liked the south side apartments.
