big storms came through today, and killed 3 people in Haltom City, and 1 in Sherman. Gainesville was under water in some places. CRAZY! here in N. Dallas we just had some storms, no major flooding, but sherman and gainesville got 8.5+inches of rain this morning. More than 100 homes were destroyed in Haltom Citythis has been a crazy storm season!

I read that in the news today. So very sad for those who were subject to the torrential waters and those that lost loved ones.

I love the rain, but that's way over my enjoyment level.

We have issues in Granbury too. It's just to much rain. There are hillsides giving way and some people even drowned about 2 weeks ago. It's crazy!

My heart goes out to the people that have lost loved ones!!!

So sad. I have made my kids promise not to live in mobile homes. I really think that living in one, and especially living in a flood plain, is asking to be hit with a flood or tornado. Such a sad story. The irony in Haltom City is that the city was trying to get funding to move people out of that area since it was a flood plain. But the city is limited in what it can do with privately owned land. Now I guess they will rezone. What a sad way to end this.
