Mooyah is pretty good but someone needs to tell them to cut down the amount of salt on their fries (i'd like to have some salt, but not that much and it's not the same asking for no salt and then salting yourself)

AND

someone needs to tell them to stop serving eat-in orders as to-go orders. No need to waste a paper bag for a party dining-in. I've written Mooyah corporate explaining that this is a waste of paper (And thus not environmental) and how trays can be reused, but so far they haven't listened.

Really? I could have sworn it was Carl's Jr. where my hubby and I had a hot ham-and-cheese. It was a couple years back on a road trip... Small town somewhere along I-10.

I suppose it is possible for a Carl's Jr to have a "hot ham and cheese," but I feel like I am one of their biggest fans and have only seen it on Hardee's menus.

Default Burger joint in Carrollton

A great burger joint in the Carrollton area is Island Burger off of beltline. Burgers are huge and meat is fresh. French fries are real fresh cut potatoes. Many different burger choices to choose from. The decor of the place makes you hesistate about do I really want to eat at this place. However don't be turned off by the location or decor, the burgers are awesome! Plus you can watch them make the burger while you wait.

They have locations in Mesquite, Garland (original location) and Sachse as well. Probably others. They are very good - huge 1/2 pound burgers.

I'm from Chicago and we don't have Whataburgers here, but I used to live in El Paso and there are Whataburgers there.

Whataburger probably has the worst burgers excluding McDonalds. Carl's Jr had better burgers, at least their $6 burgers were okay, but still not "WOW! BEST BURGER EVAR!"

Chicago in general doesn't have great burgers. Supposedly we are known for hot dogs, but I don't know why hot dogs should replace a nicely done burger. Hamburgers > hot dogs, IMO.

Have never tried In N Out, but I hear it's great. I wish it would move eastward.

If we end up in Dallas, I would really like to find a fantastic burger joint.

We are just talking about fast food. It is more like trying to decide the least bad. For the best burger "joint" so to speak, google Dallas' Best Hamburger. You won't find the FF fare listed for that. Maybe you would be looking for something like this. It is even what the mind conjurs up when I think of a joint. http://www.yelp.com/biz/wingfields-b...-ApS_tL6fyfWsg

Well you can only expect it to be just so good when you are rating fast food. Wataburger really can't be compared to burgers from Twisted Root or similar venue's. Here is one that you may know of. **** Robin. I loved their burgers. I used to go there all the time when I lived in Naperville. Are they still around?

OOPS, the censor caught that bad word. C*O*C*K Robin. there.

Just found this.
