Hello,
I've decided to move into Dallas, As I will be an MBA student there, But the problem is that I don't have any idea about the areas of Dallas and how it is!
I haven't ever been there!
Could anyone please tell me where is the best place to live, considering these factors: safety, cost and job opportunities.
Some tips about Dallas and it's Lifestyle would be a generous add!

Moreover, Is it true that its hard to find a part-time job there?

Thanks folks, I really appreciate your help.

Arlington to Rockwall would be an unbearable drive. You need to look on the east side if Dallas...... how about the Village apartments? You can buy furniture cheap, cheap, cheap on Craigslist.

Since "safety, cost, and job opportunities" are a priority, you might consider living in the Rockwall area rather than downtown Dallas. It's not 'country' as it might appear on the map, and it would come nearer meeting those 3 criteria....it's very nice, modern part of the city.

How about somewhere in the middle? I don't know what the area is called but look around Lovers/University just east of 75. I don't think there are furnished apartments other than corporate apts that are crazy expensive.

Good luck.

You must be moving from somewhere cheap because apartments here are not crazy expensive by any means.

no money means everything is expensive

check with placement agencies---
check with your college--there are jobs posted there by people/companies looking for part-time/seasonal work
check craigs list--people do find jobs there and there are apts posted for rent and there are people looking to split living arrangements--would not really recommend that however...
check with texas workforce commission web site--it has searchable jobs list

plus--I think you need to check with your college--the real one--I think you might have to take at least one class ON that campus vs at the off-site in Rockwall...
PLUS--I read your other posts--it seems that you may not be a US citizen since you have a BA degree from a foreign country--
do you have eligiblitity to WORK in this country legally--or just have a student visa--there is a difference which you are probably aware of...
if you don't have legal right to work in this county you are risking losing your ability to stay here for college the way I understand the program...

Thank you,
Is this what you are talking about: MyVillageApts.com
If this is it, I have a friend who lives in Denton, he told me this place is not safe!
but frankly, I feel like he is up to something!!! So I'm going to take your advices.

BTW, 27/July will be my first day in Dallas!

Thanks
