Can someone recommend a GREAT fried fish place in the Oakcliff or South of Dallas area?

A personal favorite of mine is Dan's Seafood & Chicken at 1013 West Pleasant Run Road in Lancaster. The fried fish is great and the prices are reasonable. Dan's is located in an old strip mall at the corner of Pleasant Run Road and Rogers Avenue in Lancaster (

I like Catfish Connection located on Kiest and Hampton. Be warned the fish is really spicy and you must call your order in first or be prepared for a 30 minute wait. They do not have a dining room so it is takeout only. You also alot more fish than the menu calls for. If you get a 6 piece expect to have 9 or so with your offer. Did I mention the catfish is spicy.

We tried this place and yes the fish here is very good! We did also receive a few extra pieces with our order. It has just the right spice if you're a person who naturally likes spicy food which I do, so the spice wasn't a problem for me. Thanks for the recommendation
