Hello Everyone

I am in the process of moving in the next few months. I accidentally got lost in Arlington Texas and found it beautiful. I am caught in between Dallas, Arlington, and San Antonio Texas. I have a Multiracial family, I am African American & Cuban my husband is Caucasian and we have three small kids. I would like to be in a city that is extremely diverse, safe, and great schools. Please Help! Thank you!!!

I think Arlington, much of Dallas and San Antonio are all diverse. If you need to earn a living probably your employment issues should drive where you live.

I think either will be just fine for your family. I think it mostly depends where you will find more job opportunities. Your racial make up isn't really an issue, imo. I kinda speak from experience being Mexican and my dh being white American. We were both raised in San Antonio. I don't know anything about Arlington but I figure it might not be as different as Dallas. Might be wrong. Either way, I think your job or husband's job would be the first consideration.

I'm Cuban and my husband is Argentinean. We moved to Dallas over 3 years ago from Miami, actually to a city named Allen. It's north of Dallas. We love it here. It has a great community for family. Although I do miss my latino gente and the Cuban cafeterias! There are a couple spots where you can find great food. I have found that Dallas is very welcoming to all ethnicities. I'm with the previous response and say look to move where you find work. Dallas/Ft Worth is very big... and has lots of opportunities. Good Luck!

great schools kind of leave Dallas out of the picture--great magnet schools but the others are really on a case by case decision
Arlington is not what I would call a great ISD--
and I wonder where in Arlington you were when you were lost and thought it was beautiful...
