TCU is not really classified as non denominational...it is Disciples of Christ. Both schools are private and have a big rivalry for the Iron Skillet but other than that, the similarities end there.

SMU/TCU .. how about academics and campus life? Does TCU have the snooty reputation that SMU has? It appears they cost about the same.

Not in the slightest. Students from TCU are generally very friendly, outgoing, religious people.

Even way back when I was in college SMU had the reputation of being the Rich Kids school.
TCU was more laid back and admissions weren't really that hard.

ok, this is really off the path but I just had to post. True story

Graduation ceremony took place at Tarrant County Community College (TCCC) this summer. After they handed out the diplomas by calling each student. One student is left and she is asking how come her name wasn't called.

Turns out she went to the wrong campus. She was supposed to go to the TCU graduation.

ummm... may be she isn't ready to graduate yet?

1) Did she wear the same graduation gown as everyone else?

2) How come she was not surprised that she did not see any of her classmates?

3) She didn't notice that none of her professors were there and there were signs of TCCC all over the place?

If I was her parent, I'd wonder how I raised such a stupid child.

That's harsh.

Well, at least she has a high school diploma and a college degree.
