Hi Greyhound Rescuer!

1. I love greyhounds. I used to dog sit 2 rescued greyhounds.

2. Did you ever find your Episcopal church home? I just moved to east Plano from FL. I have spent my whole life in the Episcopal Church. I am looking for my church home here. What was your experience with the options provided?

Thanks!!
Erica - New to Plano and NEW to TEXAS!

You might look into Transfiguration off Hillcrest in Far N. Dallas. Christ Church in Plano used to be an Episcopal "mega church" of sorts, but severed ties with the diocese and is now an evangelical "Anglican" church tied to the "Anglican Church in N. America" denomination & not the Episcopal diocese.

The diocese here as a whole leans more conservative than other parts of the country regardless just do to geography, so if you're thinking "liberal" East/West coast, perhaps some parishes, but definitely not the majority.

St. Michael's is probably the most traditional that you'll find in the area. Politics are kept to a minimum, likely because there's not much dissension. The congregation is older but there are many children/teens there. Dress seems to be a bit more formal than what I've seen with other churches- men are usually in suits, women in dresses and kids at least in khakis and polo. Not alot of jeans nor shorts here.
