Ok ladies...I need your help. Relocating to Frisco in weeks. Any suggestion for a good nail salon that is not over priced? (I pay $25 for a mani/pedi and $28 for a spa pedicure). Also, any recommendations for a good hairdresser/hair salon?

As always, thanks for your help!

The Oscar nail salon at Lebanon (I think?) and Tollroad in a shopping center called Starwood something or other is really good! It's more like $18 for Mani & $30 for spa pedi, but it's super clean, they're nice people, and they give good backrubs!

One thing we don't have in the DFW area compared to a NYC or LA is cheap mani-pedis. The Oscar salon is close to my office, but my nail salon close to my house (22 miles south in Dallas) is the best cheap one I have found- $35 for m/p. There are a lot of crazy places here that cost $50-80 for m/p!! I miss my $9 mani and $25m/p on the Upper East Side in NYC!!

Can't help you with hair. Love my place but it's nowhere near Frisco.

I can get a mani/pedi for $35 at Coit and Campbell in Dallas. Not sure about Frisco. You might check the Frisco on-line message board.

I think the $35 is average around here for mani/pedi. Some salons do offer specials on a certain day of the week. Just make sure you inspect the place and make sure they're really disinfecting their tools

My hair salon is in Coppell so I'm sure you'll want closer to home!

I am looking for a good hairdresser and m/p place in uptown or downtown too, any advise? I pay $100 + tip for a hair cut in Chicago, I am looking forward to finding a good one in Dallas around that price range, since Dallas is all about hair . Looks like I am going to miss Chicago for my $28 m/p.

Also does anyone know where I can find a shoe repair place to put red protective soles on my Christian Louboutin in uptown or downtown? A good dry cleaner does pick up and delivery? Just in case the dry cleaner in my building isn't good enough.

Thank you in advance!

Yes, on all three!

1. Haircut- Dana at Osgood O'Neil Salon on Lovers Lane & Tollroad (in the Park Cities about 7-10 min drive from Uptown). Haircut is $75 + tip. She is fabulous & so sweet!! Osgood O'Neil also has a salon on Knox Street, too, that is closer to Uptown. I get my highlights done there.

2. Shoe's- check with Deno's in Highland Park Village about red soles. They are the Kings of shoes in Dallas (Jimmy Choo store in HPV sends shoes there for work). If not, a Louboutin store is opening in HPV this fall - if you can wait, I'm sure they can send shoes out for repair for you. Or call Barneys or Neiman's to see what the recommend.

3. Bibbentucker's on Lemmon & McKinney is a very good dry cleaner. For anything really expensive and/or ornate, go with Dee & Hattie's on Sherry Lane in University Park.

Nails by JC by Crate and Barrel in Knox/Henderson does a decent job but a tad expensive for me. AN Nails on Greenville next to J Pepes is my favorite for $35 french mani/pedi. Very Clean and good chairs but not glamorous.
