Where in the Dallas area are some restaurants that allow smoking? Visiting in October (2010). If there are any, (and you want my business) please email me at vegaspaint@aol.com

There aren't any that are indoor only. You can only smoke in the designated smoking areas of patios.

OP said Dallas area, not Dallas, soooo... we could name some suburbs that still allow it.

In Richardson you can smoke inside only if 75% + of business is alcohol sales. You can't smoke inside in Plano or Dallas at all. That's all I can remember off the top of my head, I'm sure others can add to the list.

I think you can still smoke inside in a few places at Addison, but I haven't been out there in about a year so they could have changed it. A lot of places in the DFW Metroplex are going all Non-Smoking inside these days.

Dallas is pretty strict on its no-smoking ordinances. Your best bet is to go west, young man. You can smoke anywhere in Tarrant County/Fort Worth.

In Garland you can smoke in restaurants that have designated areas w/ different ventilation systems. I know that TGIFridays at Firewheel Town Center you can smoke at their bar and at the Buffalo Wild Wings on 190 at N. Garland Ave.

Grapevine still allows restaurants to have indoor smoking sections.

Try the Beef House at Saturn and Kingsley in Garland. You'll fit right in with all the smokers there. Not sure if they even have a "no smoking" area. Kind of a ratty place, but the food - mostly home cooking, is actually very good.

I have to agree with ETex2, the Beef House does have great home cooking! I like the salads that come with your meal. They also have good dinner rolls.

Thanks,
JH
