I was thinking the Ft Worth Zoo and I think i heard there is a japanese garden in ft worth too. Wanted to tour the deathstar too but after that I dont know what else to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is she single?

There are many suggestions, depending on the answer to the above question.

Well, that depends - is this a 55-year-old grandma or an 85-year-old grandma?

I took my 70+ yr. old MIL to Jerryworld and she enjoyed the tour quite a bit. We did slap her in a wheelchair for the duration of the tour, though.

Ft. Worth Zoo is great, as is the Ft. Worth Arboretum. Lots of walking though, and a long drive over there.

How many days are you looking to entertain her for?

the Japanese gardens in Ft. Worth are really nice. If grandma is in a wheelchair or has difficulty walking, it might not be a good idea as there are quite a few narrow steps and paths. If she can get around, it is a good 1/2 day trip.

Japanese Garden is excellent. Also make sure you take her into the conservatory - there are some amazing plants and trees growing in there.

You might also consider the Texas Discovery Garden in Fair Park. Their renovation of the indoor butterfly garden is complete and looks amazing from the outside.

I agree on the State Fair and the Deathstar. You've already taken her to the Dallas Arboretum, so unless she's just THAT much into flowers and such nature things I don't see the point of going all the way to Fort Worth to see the same thing. Don't we have a Bodies exhibit going on somewhere right now in the area? How does your grandmother feel about spending a day with dead people?

Fair Park / State Fair of Texas:

Lots of things to see, like the Hall of State (Tom Landry exhibit during the Fair), Children's Aquarium (reopens Friday), Texas Discovery Gardens (with a butterfly conservatory).

You're a stalker!

Once again, I don't want to meet you in person and I don't want to "have coffee" with you!
