Hi, I have been beating myself over the head trying to find a nice restaurant I can take my girlfriend to, where we can enjoy an eveing of a well cooked meal, and a dance floor to accompany the evening with soft music, either piano, or along the lines of slow dance country music.

I am a resident of Fannin County, so we do not have these kinds of facilities availaible to us. With my current job, I am not able to come home very often, but when I can come home, I really want to do something nice for her, and for the both of us. Given my limited time home (29OCT-12NOV), I would like somthing around the 4th of November.

Thank you for what help you can provide,

I'm not sure about a restaurant like that in Dallas with a country music theme--you'd probably have a couple of choices over in the stockyards in Fort Worth for that, but I'm not certain. I would highly recommend Sambuca in Uptown, though. They have more jazz/blues/light rock types of acts, but they have live music most nights. Great food as well. Dates there always seem to go well in my book.

most of the country places that I know about are usually more into the fast-dancing country music

but there are several excellent restaurants in the Stockyards area of FTW as well as other areas--
I think you might be better off asking about price range and menu choices--like steak or Mexican or Italian maybe--

DFW area has thousands of restaurants--many of them very good--but I don't frequent ones with dance floors so really can't help with that aspect

Not too worried about prices as much as quality of food, and atmosphere. Looking for something along the lines of serving a well prepared steak, and a good selection of deserts.

The dance floor availiability is slightly flexible, however, I would be in better spirits about the night if I could find a restaurant that had one.

Thank you for the quick reply, much abliged!
