I hope you're right that there will be an amazing transformation within a couple of years, but don't hold your breath. The bond money was approved in 1998 and it still looks like a ditch 12 years later. The issues surrounding the Trinity corridor (toll road location, reinforcing the levees, lakes, etc...) are all wrapped up in a huge political cluster----. Regardless, there are several bridges that connect SW Dallas to Downtown (I-35, I-30, Jefferson St., Houston St., Commerce & Continental), so Bishop Arts is very easily accessible.

PP= previous poster.

Don't nix Bishop Arts/ North Oak Clif if you visit & like it- as "PP" mentioned, there are tons of bridges/side streets to connect you to Uptown...my friends who live there and work in Uptown have a 10 minute commute and never even get on the highways (30,35, Woodall Rogers). They take the Zang or Sylvan/Wycliff bridges, or Ft Worth Ave/Main St). Easy stuff!

They only have one room available in all Bishop buildings right now, and it is far too small for us. They are very quick to respond to email though!

Hmmmmm...... I knew they were popular. If you check out the neighborhood and decide that you like it, then there are other options. There are quite a few renovated 1920's - 1930's small apartment buildings on King's Highway in N. Oak Cliff and I suspect that many would be within your budget. How much square footage do you need?

We'd like to have 750+ but at minimum we would need 650 or more.
