What will be the monthly gorss expenses in DALLAS for an Indian family of 3 members (daugther of 10 years). All are vegeterian. Want to use public transport to begin with.

Hi there. I think there are too many unknowns in your question. Where will they live? What kind of work, etc. You can do a search on this forum and find a lot of info about apartments, renting a house, buying a house, etc. The city is so large that the cost can really vary.

Regarding public transportation, that may not work. Dallas does not have very good transportation system and most people find that they need a car.

14000 Rs works to 310 USD. It is impossible for 1 person to survive anywhere in the US for that money.
How long are you planning to stay here?

What will your Legal Status (H1, L1, B1, GC, Citizen) be?

You are looking at a monthly expense of at least 1800 usd for a family of 3 even if you live most frugally. This is just housing, utilities and food. What about travel (you would want a car to buy indian groceries) and schooling?
