Hello everyone,

I would like your help by asking for places to celebrate a birthday party for my son who will turn 1. We plan on having friends and family with little kids ranging from 1 - 8. My preference is around the Dallas area, but would venture out a little north to Richardson/Plano.

I am interested in places where one can reserve a private room, perhaps where all the kids running around and having fun is allowed.

Thanks....

Chuckie Chese is a great place for kids older than 3. I was at a 2 y/o's party there and she was more confused than entertained. A 1 y/o won't really understand what is going on and may be scared by loud noises, lights, etc. Get a Bounce House delivered to your house and order pizza.

Agreed. Whatever you do, just realize you're throwing a party for your friends and the older kids; none of the 1 year olds will remember a thing- and they may not "cooperate" with your hopes and dreams of getting the 1st birthday hat wearing, cake eating pictures either.

Just have friends over and have a craft or some games for the older kids. The party will only last 1-2 hours so it's just not worth spending the money/effort on a 1st birthday. By 2, they are much more active and will enjoy a petting zoo or other birthday fun.

AgreedX3..
BBQ at home and rent a bounce house to entertain the older kids.

1year olds get very tired very cranky etc...esp in a noisey environment. At home when they get overwhelmed, you can put them down for a nap and enjoy your guests.

When my daughter was four and my son was one, I did combine their birthday party at a park. It was absolutely delightful and turned out so very well.
