My employment contract will end June 30th 2011, and will need to be looking for employment. I am from California (southern). I feel this is the time to "relocate", "renovate" and "reinvent"!! I know of a friend whom used to live in CC, TX. so, this state has stood out before all other states. I want me some of that Texan hospitality. I have 3 children, am a Single parent, I am a "go-getter"! I want to move to Dallas. Will my transition be smooth????? what do I need first? a job, or a place?

We have much more available housing than jobs and the worst traffic ever. You will need to know where you are employed to make your housing decision.

Yep the DFW area is huge so knowing what part of town your job is located will great influence were you live. You do not want to have a 1hr plus commute.

Job is #1. From there, the pieces will fall into place.

A little premature, but...Welcome to Texas!
