I need like a DART for dummies book. From where in the mid cities is it easy to get public transportation to North Dallas? Do the busses go to Arlington? Bedford?

Arlington has no mass transit.

Considering the furthest west station that is open is North Carrollton/ Frankford Rd, I don't know that your plan will work.

The TRE does stop in Hurst/ NRH/ Downtown Fort Worth/ West Irving / DFW/ etc, but you'd have to ride it all the way into Dallas, change trains and go back out to Carrollton on the Green Line.

Seems inefficient.

You forgot the drive from home in Arlington to the TRE station.

Talk about a beating.

Yeah, DART ain't gonna be of much use to you if you live in one of the Mid-Cities, though you could drive to one of the TRE stations, ride to Victory, and then transfer to the northbound Green Line to Carrollton.

Honestly, if you want the ability to use transit to get to a job in Carrollton easily, the best solution is probably to just move to a DART city.

The closest DART/TRE station to Bedford is the one at Trinity Road and 360. That's still about 6 miles from Bedford. To use DART, you need to live in Dallas County.
