I realized I will have two apartments (as one lease ends and the other begins) during superbowl time. Would you rent for the superbowl? Its a bit of a risk , but money seems to be good if you are willing and can find someone. I would be able to move the furniture and necessary items to the apartment I would rent and keep other valuables with me at the old place until afterwards.

How would you go about doing that--listing on craigslist or some other service? What would you charge (1 bedroom/1 bath)? The apartment is on the Dallas/Addison line and will not have cable tv which might be a downer for some prospective renters.

I currently own a rental home, so I am not a total stranger to the landlord/tenant situation, but renting my apartment for a week or weekend is something new.

Thanks for the input!

I would not do it--what if your apt complex takes issue with you subletting your unit?

have you checked Craigs list to see what open/expired/closed listings were out there and where they were
