We're eating at home. I hate the forced atmosphere of dinner out on V-day.
Feels more like faux-mance to me.

We're going to the Eight Track Museum - in fact, taking the whole family!!
Eight Track Museum - Homepage (http://www.eighttrackmuseum.org/home.html - broken link)

We will have to figure out the dinner part later.

Well when your dating someone usually the girl expects you to take them somewhere nice. I'll probably be at some fine dining establishment even though Id rather go to a casual restaurant.

Im not a fan of valentine's day at all. I have already spent $115 on flowers that will be delivered and Ill probably drop another $180-$200 on dinner and drinks.

If only Steak and BJ day was observed by the ladies then this would all be worth it.

I wanna go to the Eight Track Museum -- Big Bucks Burnett lives in Junius Heights I hear and though I have met him in the past, I don't really know him - but I have some friends who do!

I'm going to a wine tasting at The Wine Therapist Saturday afternoon and there's a special dinner at Legal Grounds (I think some places may still be open) after that..

DH sometimes makes me a "carpet picnic" for special occasions and it is very thoughtful and romantic.

He sets up candles, music, blanket and cushions to sit on, etc.

Champagne, baguettes, brie, grapes, pears, or strawberries, some fancy schmancy dips and spreads from a place like Central Market.. Not cheap I guess, but I love it and it's got to be cheaper than a fine dining place.

Not to mention that you are quite a bit closer to the "magic room" if all goes well...

We have gone to Forever Fondue in the past. The food is good there but you get so unromantically stuffed with too much food.

Yeah I have been to melting pot before for fondue and it was very tasty but you have to be rolled out of there. lol

Plus its $150 for two people without drinks so its as much or more money than going to some fancy restaurants that are much nicer.

Yea not really a fan of V-Day either..But the wife prefers to stay in and watch movies and ~cuddle, so that's what we usually end up doing, maybe we'll make our favorite meals for each other with each other

Toulouse off Knox. Great steak-frite ( a bit too thick of a cut and the frites aren't tossed with the cooking meat but alas,). Good atmosphere, cozy, fairly low key. They also have a great Sunday brunch.
