what's a good buy in plano? 4-6 year old houses with zero lot & new appliances or 12-15 year old with better elevation, pool & golfcourse,creek or park view? similar properties in similar area at similar prices ;/

IMO it depends to a large degree which golf course. I'd not hesitate to buy "older" other things being equal.

If you're talking about Gleneagles, it's a no brainer, the older home wins hands down. It would boil down to your lifestyle. Can you live with a zero lot line home? Is the entire neighborhood zero lot line or only yours which would make it the ugly duckling of the block.
