In the Dallas Morning News this morning there is a front page article about blacks moving to the suburbs in search of good schools. I thought it was a pretty good article.
Census shows black population expanding in Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs | Dallas-Fort Worth Local Breaking News - News for Dallas, Texas - The Dallas Morning News

This was a side bar to the article:

2010 Black population of selected North Texas cities:

51.9% - Cedar Hill
25% - Dallas
21.8% - Mesquite
18.9% - Ft. Worth
18.8% - Arlington
14.5% - Garland
14.3% - Little Elm
14.2% - Mansfield
11.2% - Lewisville
10.5% - McKinney
10.3% - Denton
8.4% - Allen
8.1% - Frisco
7.6% - Plano

I'm sorry, but this article can't possibly be accurate. Collin County has nothing but white people (who fled from Dallas to avoid the black and brown man). At least that's what I'm repeatedly told here.

Collin has a lot more than white people!

Yup, "black flight" to the suburb is this generation's "white flight."

DMN ran another article a few month's back discussing how blacks are fed up with the city schools focusing on the Hispanic student population (teaching them English, etc).

I was reading that earlier online.

There were quite a bit of hateful comments. Kind of sad.

This is just another phase... these happen... soon we may see an influx of wealthy white families moving to the wealthy parts of the city again to avoid the black flight to the suburbs. Why can't we all just live together and stay put? Its only a phase...

This part is already happening. That, or they move further out into places like Prosper. I've heard people say Plano is turning "ghetto" now (Plano actually lost white people this decade!). LMAO. Diversity must be a scary thing for many.

Why not? They have more purchasing power now than in the past, so those with higher paying jobs don't have to stay in the inner city neighborhoods, where they grew up. Professional Blacks have the monetary power to move around, just as those of other colors do.

Yours truly is a black person that moved to the suburbs, from inner city Fort Worth. I'm only here for college, however... Once I graduate, I'm packing up and going to Oak Cliff!
