Momof2DWF...yes, DH wants new or "land". He was talking to the person that will be his boss in TX, and he said in order to get a house with more land that's not in the boonies, you have to go with older homes. AND I have to give him this new info on home appreciation. =)

At this point, I really DO want to have everything on my radar. I don't get overwhelmed too easy....I want to know all my options. I have this clipboard with tons and tons of notes on it. What ya'll tell me I really do take down and keep for later and/or research it right then!

75248 is city of Dallas, Richardson school district. That's my 'hood.

If the job is in Garland, I would just look at Garland, Sachse, Murphy, East Plano, maybe Wylie, East Richardson, Rowlett, Rockwall areas. I would not live in Dallas proper. LOVE Dallas proper, but if job is in a suburb and if you have kids and if you want to use public schools, there's no point in being in Dallas Proper. Try to stick close to the job and get those commuting hours back.
