Obviously there would be far more (and far less expensive) lots in Frisco, but where would you search for empty lots for sale in the three cities mentioned? It's impossible to google for it, so I guess driving around is one option? Don't want to involve a realtor, so what's left? Anyone know of a decently used website where developers/landowners actually post lots for sale? Looking for smaller lot options in existing subdivisons for a custom build. Suppose most subdivisions are developed wholly by production builders.

There are lots for sale in Preston Hollow - boundaries are Walnut Hill, Preston, Royal and Hillcrest. They are tear downs where the house has already been torn down and now just the lot is for sale.
