check recent thread about plano gems. i am sure that you can find a nice house within your price range in one of those neighborhoods. just drive around and attend open houses to get the feel of the area before you narrow your search. good luck!

there are also PUBLIC schools called charter schools which are open to students on different basis--depending on their charters--
they get funding via students attendance from the state and do not charge tuition to parents like private schools do
it is possible for a student living in Plano to go to a charter school located anyplace his/her parents can transport--IF that student meets the admission requirements for the school
different schools have different policies and the more successful a charter school, the more difficult it is for new student to enter...
