If I have to go downtown then the way I go is George Bush to 75 and 75 will take me into downtown.

That is one way...another way is to take firewheel parkeway to centerville, take centerville to northwest highway, hang a right and that will take you all the way down to 75. The advantage is two fold. a) you dont have to pay tolls, b) when you do hit 75, you are much farther down that you would be taking the GB (and hence closer to downtown)

Another way would be to take Firewheel parkway, turn onto centerville road, then turn right on 66 and follow it all the way down to 75. It turns into Forest Lane in Dallas, and will let you out a little further north, but still much closer to downtown than the George Bush, and again, no tolls.

Thanks for the other options. At this point the toll doesn't bother me and to me it is quicker the way that I said, but I'm glad to know that there are other ways.

or do the same but when you hit Northwest Highway, hang a left and take it to I-30 and just head west from there.
