Hello,

I recently moved to Texas and have titled both cars in my name. I thought I was registering them at the same time, and while I received license plates at the Tax office, do not recall receiving a piece of paper with the word "registration" on it. Is this something the State of Texas sends separately? For what it is worth, I did not receive license plate stickers that have the month and year of expiration on them.

I have since received titles on both cars from the State. I notice that the street addresses on both titles is also off by one character on each title. Does this make a difference when I get around to disposing of one or both cars?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

The registration sticker does not go on the plates directly any longer. It is a sticker that goes in the front windshield above the inspection sticker.

I would contact the tax office about the street number being off on your titles.

When they gave you the plates for both cars, they also should have given you two windshield stickers with the month/year on it. That is your registration sticker. You also need to get the cars inspected and that is a sticker that goes on your front windshield as well.
