I'm confused...are you talking about Bishop Arts or the other suburbs (Cedar Hill, etc) when you say "you'd have to head into Dallas for that."

Because Bishop Arts is in Dallas and there are tons of 20 and 30 something singles/ couples/ young families in North Oak Cliff/ Bishop Arts. Head to Bolsa on Saturday night or brunch at Cafe Brazil or try on cool vintage frocks at Zola's or join the Kessler Park cycling group....it's all young people!

Woops, I guess I should have phrased that as "you'd have to head back over the Trinity for that..." (in my opinion, of course) My experience with the Bishop Arts area has been that a lot of the young people who spend time there on weekends come from other parts of Dallas and aren't necessarily living in the area--it's more of a fun change of pace. Doesn't Kessler Park have more families and established couples than singles? I've had several friends rent apartments in the area, mainly because it's an easy commute to downtown, but for the most part they ended up heading to North Dallas for entertainment, and most didn't live in the area for long. I know there are a lot of people who LOVE living in North Oak Cliff and wouldn't have it any other way, so obviously it comes down to personal preference, but I imagine there are easier places to get connected when moving to town and starting over.
