North Oak Lawn (and much of Oak Lawn in general though some of it is seedy) has lots going for it. Along with Hollywood-Santa Monica and Kessler Park, I think North Oak Lawn is one of the prettiest areas in the city, and it's conveniently located between Love Field on one end and Uptown (which is close to downtown) on the other.

For the curious, here's some basic info about it:

I'm looking at living in an apt. at 2929 Wycliff near Uptown and Oak Lawn. Is this safe for a single young woman in her early 20's? Recent transplant from California

Default Moving

I'm looking at moving to 2929 Wycliff in Dallas, Tx. Is this a safe area for a 20+ female living alone?

You should be fine there. If you cross over to the North side of the Tollway you may run into some issues at night but the South side is safe. Just take your normal safety precautions as you would anywhere.

There's several nice new apartments that just opened or will be opening soon around you as well.

1.. Glen Oaks (by Skillman and Royal Lane) - No. Sketchy
2. Avondale (by Royal Lane and Highway 75) - maybe. Depends on what side of 75 -if on HP side - it is 'ok'
3. Hyde Park or Biltmore (on Melody Lane, near the corner of Greenville Ave and E. Northwest Highway). - No - its still too transitional

I am thinking of moving to Dallas. Any help and advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

What about the 2929 Wycliff Ave. apartment complex. It looks nice, is it a safe area..looks to be between Oak Lawn & Uptown. I'm 25 year old female starting new job from Calif. Like to run and feel safe. Anyone know this complex?
