Well, for starters, they aren't the same thing. Chicken fried chicken is chicken pounded until shaped like a flat pancake, then breaded and friend. Like chicken fried steak, but with chicken.

Fried chicken is just your typical wing/ breast/ thigh/ drumtick, breaded & fried.

I just had the fried chicken last night at Oddfellows, a new restaurant in Bishops Arts District, and it was awesome! They serve it family style like Babe's. It doesn't taste the same as Babe's but it is a similar level of quality.

I'm not a coffee person but apparently their coffee is a big deal too.

I don't eat fried foods much any more, but I used to love Bubba's in Snider Plaza. Babe's sounds great, now I'm hungry.

Babe's chicken. The size of the people alone can attest for it, suggesting a lot of repeat customers.

LOL!!! It's good but I can only handle it once a year at the most. It's just too much. And I can only eat one serving of the things there I do want. No second helpings for me and it's still "too much" for me.

However, after visiting Paula Deen's place in Savanah......... holly crappola. Babe's ain't got nothing on that place. Talk about a stomach turner after eating there. And some of those people headed to the buffet line more than once and filled their plates up every time.

I don't think Babe's sells chicken fried chicken, do they? Their fried chicken is pretty good though.
