Not athletic enough, just about everyone on the team is a player who was great 5 years ago, can't run with young teams like Portland and Denver...the one thing they do have is playoff experience, but other than that, well let's just say that just about every team in the west wants to play Dallas in the playoffs for a reason...

Mavs will be out in the first round I could care less about the crooked NBA. I haven't watched a NBA game in full since the Dallas vs. Miami series when Dallas got screwed by commish Stern and the refs.

Everyone likes to blame Stern and the refs (which obviously has some merit), but all Dirk had to do was make ONE free throw, tbh.... The Mavs got the absolute worst matchup in the first round. Portland is gonna spank that ass, unfortunately. Portland will win one of the first two games in Dallas, then Portland will win both at home, then Dallas will win Game 5 in Dallas, and Portland will close it out in six at their place.

I too don't hold much hope for the Mavs--like I said I don't follow basketball that much but every time I watch them in playoffs--I mainly see Dirk choking and other players are either past their prime or just don't have great ability--to win playoffs

I think Mark Cuban has paid too much attention to keeping Dirk and squandered some great chances in the past--
they never should have traded Kidd the first time--IMO
but like I said--don't have patience to watch so many thugs at work

Charlie Rosen of Fox usually does a pretty indepth breakdown of each team entering into the playoffs, and he's got the Blazers in 7:

Breaking down the West's first round - NBA News | FOX Sports on MSN

Since I wasted 25 years watching every game in their history up until their choke job in the Finals and then getting beat by a number 8 seed after winning 67 games, I'm finished investing much of my life to Cuban's ragtag bunch...

Ok, I'll give my .02 since the game is about to start. Dallas in Six, and lose to the Lakers in Seven. If by some chance the Mavs can make it out of the West, (not holding my breath)I give them a good chance of beating whoever comes out of the East.

I happened to catch the last section of that game--from when they were tied to the end--

while Dirk had an exceptional last 12 minutes I guess--my query about any professional basketball game is why watch all 4 quarters when in so many games--the final 10 min is what decides the winner--

Just cut ALL games to 20 min and save all the posturing

I watched game one from up here in Portland, so it was quite fun cheering against the home team (although I wouldn't be surprised if my beer had a little spit in it). The Blazers were so exciting and explosive to watch. I am not sure that Dallas deserved to win that game, although I am glad they did. I think the rest of the series could go either way, but if they do make it past round one, I am much less hopeful after that.
Also, I predict that Cuban may try to get some of that young Portland talent next year.
