If it is not capable of receiving HDTV (digital) signals then it will need a converter box before you get an antenna. Simply hooking up an antenna without one will get you nothing as analogue signals are no longer broadcast. The box will run you about $45-50 bucks + whatever your antenna costs.

where I live, I cant get anything for channel 8 and channel 21. terrible. any ideas to make the reception better?
