I had a lot of issues with our neighborhood school and eventually transferred my son out of there but a lot of their problems really were not their fault. They are being tasked with educating a population that does not speak English and whose parents are not particularly interested in integrating into our society or promoting their children's education. There is only so much a school can do in this situation.

Agree about McKinney though. Regardless of its criticisms, some of which are deserved, it's a nice, picture-esque town with it's own history outside of just being a part of further Dallas sprawl. I can see why there are positive numbers behind McKinney.
