So overrated. It tastes like the hamburgers I had in my high school cafeteria. Why is this chain called a Texas treasure? Anyone else agree?

I feel the same way about IN & OUT. That is an over rated burger and reminds me of a cafeteria special.

About a year ago, I was picking up some clients from the airport as they were coming to house hunt. They asked me to bring them each a Whataburger sandwich to the airport. It was one of their highlights of the trip. They couldn't wait to get their hands on one.

I'm more of a Burger King kind of gal... Whataburger is just ok, but to each their own...

Their burgers are ok...what they do well are those crazy specialty burgers...those are the best bet.

I hate eating there (thankfully, we don't do much fast food) because their customer service totally bites. They EFF up our order at least every other time. And they take FOREVER to get your food ready.

Let's not forget these are Fast Food burgers..Whataburger is ok, nothing to go out of your way for IMO. As far as local treasures go, Kincaids is much better. And according to my wife, without a doubt In & Out is better than WAB. Although I hear WAB are great at 2AM when you're wasted, maybe you should try it then.

There are just sooooo many burger places in the DFW area, it's hard to pin the blue ribbon on just one.

Are all those hamburger threads some silly attempt at astroturfing?

I mean, why would someone go through the troubles registering on CD just to post something good/bad about a freaking burger...

If it was 2000, I fully expect a barrage of Krispy Kreme threads.
