Also interesting that no Plano schools are on the list - the highest they could manage (despite huge pools of potential players) was 72.5:

District 8-5A
FM Marcus 4.5 0.33 10 13 3 15 3 0 5 3 8 2 5 2 0 3 2 7 85.83
Allen 7 4 3.5 0 2 1 0 10 9 4.5 2 15 3 4 4 13 0 0 82
Hebron 2.5 2.5 14 2 6 2.5 0 2 2 5.5 7 1 4 5 3 4 5.5 5.5 74
Plano 2.5 6 1 1 1 2.5 2 8 12 10 1 5 0 0 0 0 8.5 12 72.5
Plano West 0 12 3.5 4 9 5.5 8 9 0 1 3 1 0 0 10 5 0 1 72
Flower Mound 4.5 0.33 1 9 11 0 1 1 1 0 4 14 1 3 2 1 3.5 3.5 60.83
Plano East 1 2.5 1 3 0 0 6 4 3 2 0 3 7.5 11 6 0 3.5 2 55.5
Lewisville 0 0.33 0 0 0 6.5 5 0 0 0 0 4 10 1 0 0 1 0 27.83

Plano High School was known for its athletic prowess many years ago...

The problem with the list is they include all sports. I would love to see a list that only includes football, basketball and baseball.

How about a list that only includes football?

I just don't understand why Lakewooder would post a list that has HP and 2 Frisco schools ranked about Woodrow.

I guess its hard to replace this man Coach Robert Hughes (Dunbar-5 state Championships). He retired as the all-time winningest high school basketball coach with 1,333 wins, passing Morgan Wootten in 2003. His son took over and lets just say Dunbar Basketball hasn't been the same since.
Granbury TX HS girls basketball coach Leta Andrews bypassed Hughes this past season.

He's just happy Woodrow is on a list and not portrayed negatively by that list.

I was really surprised to see Mckinney Boyd, our feeder school, so high on the list (#2)! I've have heard they have some good programs, but didn't realize they were so well-rounded across the UIL athletic spectrum. Pretty impressive for a school that's only 5 years old

Lakewooder...was there an article or anything that went along with that report?

There's really no link beyond the list of statistics - it's behind TDMN paywall, so you can't get it if you aren't a subscriber. It's always in the Sunday paper in the middle of June.

Woodrow has finished as high as third (many years ago). We were 19th last year and in 2007 we were sixth, according to wikipedia. I don't have the other years but I know we always have an excellent ranking, as we often win district in many sports - especially strong in volleyball (have not lost a district game for 14 years straight), swimming, tennis, soccer and golf. We've had a great state-ranked basketball team for the last few years (we lost to state champs Kimball by five points after leading through most of the play-off game) and we've been doing well in football for the last decade.

Southlake Hockey DID not take the the National Title... they got 2nd in that. A team for Ill won the Ttile.
Keller Hockey won the State Title.

All HS hockey here is club, It is not an UIL santioned sport.

I stand corrected but Southlake did win the Texas State title in their Division.

Didn't a Senior from Keller tear some kids face off from Arlington to get the title?
