Wow. Interesting weather we're having this year.

Honestly, in the 22 years I've lived here, I don't remember any year with this much hail or electrical activity. We always have storms...

What do y'all think?

Glad I saw your post. Got my car in the garage with about 5 minutes to spare!!

This spring has been the worst I can remember since the late 1980's. I remember getting into the hall closet to hunker down for a tornado/ really bad storm several times around '87-89.

Omg, I am so glad you got your car in!

I am so guilty of that. I have this big car port, so I have become used to just leaving the cars out there...I have never seen so much hail.

My truck (which gets left out bc we have a three car garage and four cars) actually had to be repainted a couple weeks back bc of the hail. It's under the carport now (the other cars are garaged).

Seriously, wtf?

One of the best things about living in Dallas is that you don't have to worry about where your cars are. Guess not.

We had two broken windows last night on our new house that we've owned less than a week. Ugh. Also lost numerous plants and the pool is a mess. But it could have been worse. This has indeed been a crazy weather year.

No hail thus far in Uptown/Turtle Creek. Just one helluva electrical storm out there. The thunder is moving away from here, but the sky is lit up like the 4th of July.

Oh well. We need the rain. Hopefully it is raining in east Texas and central Texas where all the wildfires have been burning this week.

we had hail in Hurst last night and REALLY high winds
I was worried about the hail breaking some of the windows as well--not because the stones were so large but because of the force of the wind behind them

put it down to global warming--
unusual weather patterns in different seasons

the wind this summer is driving me nuts--
the hot, dry West TX wind that won't stop
it is so bad for landscape--really dries it out so much quicker

I watched the storms for a long time last night, I love thunderstorms....gorgeous, unrefined power. I get chills when lightning strikes near and you can hear the air singe and then crack....so awesome

From my patio last night:
