La Cocina is good. But Matt's is better (oh no - Tex-Mex!).

I like a lot of the small taquerias. Flash Mart, Fuel City, Taco Joint, Tamale House, etc. One of my favorite places is at Abrams and I think Mockingbird (it's an old Long John Silvers) but they have the best whole fried fish.

I haven't been here long enough to try out many of them, but I'm very fond of El Real. It's the closest I've ever eaten to what the Mexicans I used to work with would bring up there for lunch. One time I went up there, the only waitress didn't even speak English, so you know it's the real deal.
