Hi there,

I know is kind of early, but I've heard you need to start looking 6 months before you will have the baby in day care. I'm due in November, and will need day care starting early January 2012.

I need recommendations of "affordable" day cares in the Plano, Richardson, Murphy areas... if Plano preferably close to 75, E or W doesn't really matter. I would be ok with a home day care if it has excellent recommendations.

Please comment...

Thank you,

Carol

As a mom-to-be in the same situation, best of luck!

I've heard it is best to get on waiting lists and that the top daycares will have them.

I am by no means an expert on this, but Primrose and Montessori schools seem to have a good rep. We are going the home care route no matter what, though.

Please check out the DFW Area Moms Forum--the ladies there should have some great recs.

Hi Carol. I am also due in November, with a little girl. I'm thinking of staying home. I've considered taking care of another little one in help us financially. I live in Allen. I'm married and my son will be 5 years old by then. My mother also lives with me which will be a great help. Let me know if you are interested.

Good Luck!

Hi Nurseinplano,

I have seen this center before but were not sure about the in-home. Do you like it? How many teachers/care takers are in the center? They don't show any photos so I was wondering about it.

Thanks!
