More and more folks living in and right around downtown would be a great thing.

Finally!!
I walk around that area everyday and its DEAD. That place is full of "exclusive" condos, restaurants, some shops. Finally they realized they created a ghetto.
Now they are bringing real people to live in that area. About time someone it figured out. This is a good start to bring some life into that zone. They need a variety of income and mixed income venues to satisfy those residents and visitors.

The new Perot Museum of Natural History should help - also if The House is ever filled...plus the 23-story apartment building going up across Stemmons and the 42-story Museum Tower!

Werd.

A walkable grocery store, post office, and more "middle spaces" like neighborhood coffee shops and art galleries would help fill the void.

Still, VP has a long way to go & may never become an actual neighborhood despite these efforts.

C'mon Mr. (or Ms.) Glass-Half-Empty! These are good signs. Once the arts venues and park are finished, then these properties come online, that area should become much more lively.
