I am interested at the Waterstone Estates in McKinney.
A beautiful area, I wonder what is the HOA due?
If I purchase a lot there but have not build the house yet, do I still have to pay the full HOA due? or I can wait until the house is built to complete to start paying HOA.
Thanks

Are you really purchasing the lot first? In most cases, you don't own the lot until you close on the house itself, which will be after completion. HOA would start coming due after closing, not before, I'd think...

Just call the HOA? or ask your realtor to find out it's part of their job

The HOA dues are $750 per year. You will have to pay the dues even on the lot before you build and responsible for keeping it mowed and cleared up.

Naima is correct. You wil also have to pay full taxes on the property even though there is no house there as well. However, there are some good prices on lots in that community right now...just been slow to build out.

We have just sold our house in McKinney and are wanting to build a house in Waterstone. My concern is the elementary and middle school. Can anyone give us any feedback on the schools and or any other concerns. We have a couple of lots that we are looking at, but have not yet made the decision on which one.
