finding a realtor to help us look at homes in this area while we're here for a week. I really want to get the viewing started, we got here yesterday and we would like to view some homes asap. But i dont know of any realtors to help us get that started, or even where to look for one. Can anybody really help us?

To rent or to buy? If renting, you could just drive around and look for "For Rent" signs.

You don't need a realtor for looking at rentals. Honestly, driving around looking for "for rent" signs will be the easiest way. Have a cell phone and a notepad so you can call the numbers on the signs!

Finding a realtor is something you should have though about before getting here. That being said, as other posters indicated, just look for "for rent" signs and call those numbers for showings. Many apartment complexes also have on-site leasing offices, too.

Word of caution- if you're not ready to sign a lease this week, none of the properties are going to be available when you finally relocate down here. The rental market is really tight right now. I would focus on seeing the different suburbs and trying to figure out if you really want to move here.

Hi Luv,
I well remember your location needs and budget also. I just looked and found places in Irving at about $1250 that might work. Here's a couple (you could drive by, then call Realtor) in Euless that would be good for your husband's school & work, too:

309 Sixpence Ln Euless TX - Home for Rent - MLS #11621965 - Realtor.com®

505 Sage Ln Euless TX - Home for Rent - MLS #11626538 - Realtor.com®

THE PERFECT LOCATION is actually this one, its a mobile home in Coppell:
Charming Doublewide Home for Rent

In South Irving, but not scary is this one:
Wonderful 3 Bed, 2 Full Baths, 2-Car Garage house near lake in Irving

In Irving, too, good location for your DH's school:
4121 Tacoma St Irving TX - Home for Rent - MLS #11619211 - Realtor.com®
