And stay off Spring Valley between 75 and Coit, unless living in Little Tijuana appeals to you.

The thing I don't get about Brick Row is it was supposed to have dining and retail put in on the first floor, but something must have gone wrong because as far as I can tell there isn't one business in there.

Is Block 24 the complex on Campbell and 75?
We were just by Brick Row last week and there is not one single retail space rented out that I could see. I'd see living there to be very boring and the only bright spot to be the DART access.

Have had several friends live in the Block between houses and all have enjoyed it. At least there is retail to walk to there. Need a pharmacy, it would be quicker to walk to the one right there than to drive to it. Over at Brick Row the nearest retail is the Kroger a few blocks away and the liquor store.

There's also the CVS on Spring Valley & Sherman not too far away.

Location-wise I like the Buckingham apts best, then the Block.

I lived at the Marquis complex for 3 years. It was a great place in the beginning but then the manager left and things fell apart. However I'm still in touch with her and found out she is back. So I would really recommend you check out that place.

You should also look at Post Eastside on the SEC of 75 and campbell. It is a very nice mixed-use center. It has been open a little longer than Brick Row so the retail is more developed.
