If I remember correctly,
I got the darker screens and paid about $50.00 each.
That may be an average price for a window about approx. 64" tall by 36" wide

Check these guys out. Solar Screens :: Go Green Solar Screens :: Serving Dallas, Denton, Corinth, Hickory Creek, Flower Mound, Argyle, Lewisville, Dallas, Grapevine, Plano, Coppell, Southlake, Ft. Worth, McKinney, Frisco

If you are handy, you can make them yourself too. Buy the screen, it comes in a roll and get the frames, and you can put them together. I personally, aesthetically, don't care for the ones that are white, although they don't make the house as dark inside as the other ones.

The attic tents do work as there is typically airflow from not so good weather stripping around the opening. Moderator cut: not allowed you can find them online as well.

I am not sure of the pricing (if it is better than Skymall or AA magazine) Moderator cut: too new to make specific recommendations, read TOS Google Attic Tent and there are a host of shopping links that come up as well- shopping results are about the 4th or 5th link.

In my other business (apartments) we have used solar screens with pretty good results. There are many solar screen companies as well. Many advertise in the coupon mailers and such, money mailer, etc if you get those. Not sure on pricing but there are typically 4-6 colors and choice of 80% or 90% "shade" or whatever the term is that they use.

Moderator cut: not allowed
