I am planning to relocate from California to Plano, TX to work near the Tennyson Parkway / Dallas North Tollway location in Plano. I would like to get some feedback on some nice apartments that would be close to work. I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartment and hoping to spend under $1,400 per month.

The two apartments I have come up with are:

Lincoln at Towne Square
8205 Towne Main Drive Plano, TX 75024

Harvestree
5401 Independence Parkway, Plano, TX 75023

Does anyone have any feedback on the above apartments and any other suggestions? I would prefer to have 2-car attached garages, but the apartments I found that have 2-car attached for under $1,400 per month did not have good reviews.

Harvestree has a nice management team, but they are not updated apartments. If your budget is up to $1400 you could do way better. Look on the west side of Legacy, that would put you close to work and that area is nice.

Would that be like Livington Apartments and Carrington Park?

Yes, both of those are in great location, cant vouch for what they look like on interior, but the area is great.

It seems both of those are completing booked. Only places that have available apartments with garages is The Reserve at Charles Place, The Preserve at Arbor Hills and Bentley Place at Willow Bend.

Those are all decent. I actually almost moved into the Reserve at Charles Place, but had read some reviews about the electric bills being sky high, so decided against it just due to that

I'd take the reviews with a grain of salt. Most are written by people who cannot manage their lives and blame others for their mistakes. I lived in two places that had poor reviews but would move back again if I was single.

When I moved back to Dallas in 99 I used an Apartment locator service. Free. You tell them what you want and they'll find it. They get paid by the apartment complexes. Google dfw apt locators and you might just find something. It's just like a realtor when you buy; the seller/leaser pays the fee.
Good luck and welcome!

I end up getting a townhome w/2 car garage at The Reserve at Charles Place located 4701 Charles Place in Plano, because it would be approx 3 miles from my future employer's location near Tennyson Pkwy and Dallas North Tollway. Although, I did find a rental home just northeast of Sheffield Primary School and six miles from the job. I just don't know about that neighborhood for that rental property. Or, just stick with The townhome until I get familiar with the area. Being a homeowner for so long, I do have reservations about having the home connected to each side and not getting too excited when watching sports.
