When I first moved to Mesquite they use to dove hunt 2 miles from the house. Seemed funny to see men in camo with shotguns park the truck and start shooting.

Unlike this shining example of Internet witticism.

Stupid? Really? Do you realize hunting helps to keep populations under control so animals can live a healthy life and not over populate so people like your selves do not have, shall we say, encounters with wildlife?

Do you also know that hunters and hunting organizations like Ducks Unlimited and Quail Unlimited are also some of the biggest conservationists around? Keeping wetlands intact, and keeping the desert open and free to everyone.

Probably not, as you seem to have your cranium firmly inserted up your rear end. Let me guess, you must be from the Bay Area of Northern California, correct? I can almost smell the pretentiousness from here. As a native from So Cal, it's quite easy for me to spot.

There are still people in this country who hunt to put food on the table. Not everyone can head down to Whole Foods in their Prius to get their organic meat. Some people also hunt to keep food on your table too as predators still like to kill cattle, sheep and other farm animals. And thanks to those conservation efforts as well, predators have made a comeback in North America as well. Also, deer and wild boars populations ruin thousands of acres of produce every year.

So you really might want to consider who is stupid and who isn't.
