Seems fairly in line of what I remember of far north Dallas/Collin County. Does anyone know what neighborhood they were in? M___ Park?

I would not have wanted my bedroom to have looked like either the old OR the new one. Is that typical style for wealthier folks in Dallas?

Some interesting blog pieces:

Doesn't sound like it's worth watching/recording.

Her store, "That's Haute" is in Bedford. I'd guess the first show was in Southlake. Her renovation was so tacky. But somehow, my wife and I couldn't look away. I think this show will be fun for the train-wreck factor.

Everything was as poofy and gaudy as it could possibly be. And if it was a wall or ceiling, it over-the-top faux-finished. She didn't update the room -- she took it backwards. It was stereotypical North Dallas suburb tackiness.

I'm a little ashamed of the fact that I even know what you guys are talking about - but in my defense my wife was watching it when I got home from work and kept pausing it to redirect my attention and make sure I was watching - kind of like you do with road kill and/or train wrecks.

I caught a glimpse of a street sign that said Normandy. There is a Normandy Dr in Frisco - could be other Normandy Drives are in the DFW area though and I believe that is Dr Brent Alford - Google says at least one of his offices is in Ft Worth.

<edit> nm - it looks like Normandy Dr Colleyville - it's kinda freaky that you can find results like this, but:

(thankfully when I typed in 'tyanger's house' google gave me bupkis )

Last edited by tyanger; 08-10-2011 at 09:33 AM.. Reason: nm its in Colleyville

I don't want to "Pimp my Ride" so why on earth would I want to pimp my house? Especially my bedroom.

To begin with, most people in Dallas would hire a decorator from around the Design District. Bedford and Colleyville are in Tarrant County, not Dallas. It should be titled Donna Decorates DFW.

I have seen that sort of McMansion look a few times and I could not describe it until I read: "everything is bronzed to within an inch of its life"

Oh it was hideous but I was just wondering what neighborhood she was suppose to be working in. They showed the entrance to what looked like an older Lakewood or Park Cities neighborhood but the houses looked all Colin County. The sign said M-something Park.

Edit- Found it- Montclair Park
