Do you think people in Dallas tend to dress better in public than other major cities in the US? Does this also apply to men not just women? The only other city that I know where people dress well constantly is NYC

No offense but I think you've been watching too much TV.

I still dress like a slob and don't care. Dickies work shirts and jeans for the last 15 years have been just fine.

The only people I know out here who actually "care" about "fashion" probably shouldn't be spending the money on all their clothes since they barely make enough to make rent.

Um...I'm notbsure on this one. I guess maybe is some areas but not across the board. I've never been much on fashion, outside of some nice shades.

On my free time, I prefer the clothes from Dickies, Hot Topic, and Vans.

No & Dallas has nothing on LA, Chicago, Vegas, & Miami when it comes to fashion.

Dallas' Hip Hop community rides other cities nuts especially. The grills, the NY Yankees hats, etc. etc.

I definitely think there areas in Dallas in which the people dress very well. I think it's more of a preppy look, but then again I'm not into thug/rapper clothes. I almost always wear sportcoats in the winter when I go out.

I have partied in Chicago (River North) and Miami (South Beach) this year and I have fit in perfectly in both of those towns. I'll be partying it up in California in 2 weeks and will be in Cow Hollow in San Francisco.

San Francisco isn't really known for fashion unless you consider Levi's, Old Navy, Gap, & Banana Republic fashionable.

Dallas is possibly the 2nd most fashionable city in the South after Miami. Neimans, which most people can't afford anyways is Dallas' claim to fame in the fashion world. Then you have JC Penny's up in Plano. LOL

D/FW claims more shopping per capita than most cities, but with so many suburban indoor malls its to be expected.

One of the first things my wife noticed when we moved here two weeks ago was that people's wardrobe / sytle was "bland" (using her words not mine). She grew up and has lived in SF and surrounding towns her whole life. I think some of this may be a due to the particular part of the city we're in where I've even noticed almost everyone dresses the same.

It's been way over a 100 everyday for the last month. Reserve fashion judgement until fall.
