Hi. Our family is moving to Grand Prairie soon.
After doing some research, I found out that there are some bad parts in Grand Prairie.
Our house is located south of I-20 and state highway 360. 5 minutes away from Joe Pool Lake and Mansfield.
Right next to West Elementary school and 10 minutes away from Bowie High School.
Our father's company provided this house for us. But we want to make sure it's safe. Area code is 75052.

Thank you.

It's just like Fort Worth.

Thank you for your reply but I have no idea what Fort Worth is like. I'm moving from Las Vegas, NV and never been to Dallas before. But I'm guessing Fort Worth is nice?

That is very nice part of town. Living by the lake is great and most of the homes in that area are 15 years old or less. It is a very safe place to live. There are some bad parts of Grand Prairie but all of it is located north of I-20.

My family moved from Grand Prairie in 2000. We lived south of I 20 just north of Joe Pool Lake in south eastern GP.
Our daughter went to Garner Elmenetary at the time. When we moved, asian gangs were moving into that part of GP. I don't know about now though.
We never had any break ins or vandalism. I had heard the Grand Prairie PD was going to put a store front sub station on Polo Rd but we moved before they did, if they did.

Thank you everyone for your help. Just visited the neighborhood and I have to say, it is nice. Kind of reminded me of California (Santa Monica) neighborhoods. Turkeytrot, I think I live more down south side, literally in Mansfield area so I think we are okay. 10 minutes away from Mansfield timberview high school. I'm Asian but I won't be doing anything in GP area (mostly Dallas and Ft. Worth) anyway so I think I'm fine ;D
