What type of things do you like to do?

Offhand, I'd recommend:

1) The Sixth Floor Museum -- At the site where JFK was assassinated.

2) The Dallas Arboretum -- Especially if the weather is nice.

3) Dallas Museum of Art/Nasher Sculpture Center/Crow Museum of Asian Art -- All are next to each other downtown.

4) White Rock Lake -- Good place for a picnic, walk or cycling

5) Fort Worth Stockyards -- Fort Worth is the place to go for cowboy culture and this is the place where you'll find it. They have rodeos on weekend evenings.

6) The Kimbell/Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth/Amon Carter Museum/National Cowgirl Hall of Fame -- While you're in Fort Worth, might as well take in their stellar collection of museums.

7) Texas Rangers Game -- They're not playing this weekend but keep it in mind for future weekends.

8) Bishop Arts District -- Have dinner at one of the celebrated restaurants, like Lucia or Hattie's, and explore one of Dallas' more unique neighborhoods.

9) Uptown by Trolley -- Take the free trolley that goes up and down McKinney Ave. in Uptown; take it from near West Village to near the Arts District.

10) Southfork Ranch -- If you're a fan of the classic TV show "Dallas"
