I am a middle school teacher, and I am considering moving to the Dallas area next year. My brother lives in the Colony so I would like to live in that area. Can anyone give information about the school districts in the area? I used to live in Austin and heard that Plano was a great district at the time. Any information would be fantastic. Thanks!

Well, actually, North Dallas is the area downtown to LBJ freeway. You are asking about areas north of Dallas (how's that for a subtle but relevant difference).

Well, I think any of those districts would be fine to work at. Some might be hard to get into as I hear there is a lot of competition to teach in those suburban type districts and I've had Language Arts teachers tell me there are LOTS of language arts teachers around. You might have some competition.
