Our son sees the Catatrava bridge all the time coming back and forth to Dallas and wants to check it out. But I just can't seem to find out how to cross it leaving Dallas. So can someone give me directions from down town Dallas to the bridge? We're in Up Town if that helps.

Thanks

It's not finished yet - I believe you should be able to cross it from Woodall Rodgers when it opens:

Cool, Thanks!

It looks to open on our Son's birthday as well. So maybe we can run across it when it opens.

Unfortunately, it is only a one-way bridge, so you will have to find an alternate route to get back out.

I don't think so. It is a two way bridge.

The bad thing is there's not much to do/see once you cross the bridge. It's not like it drops you off at the Bishop Arts District. The bridge leads to a part of West Dallas that's long been severely underdeveloped but maybe that will change now.

Our son is 9yrs old and wants to check it out is all. It doesn't really matter if it's one way, two ways, or drops off at West Dallas...although he does like the West End Hooters

I noticed that people call it the Calatarva Bridge and not the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Santiago Calatrava is the name of the architect.

You sound like a cool parent. I wish my mom would have done that for me. LOL
